Croatia Industrial Output Growth Slows
Industrial output in Croatia edged up 0.3 percent over a year earlier in October of 2019, after a 2 percent jump in the previous month. Production slowed for durable goods (8.1 percent compared to 19.1 percent in September) and fell for nondurables (-1.7 percent compared to 4.4 percent). On the other hand, production rose faster for energy (6.4 percent compared to 3.4 percent) and edged up 0.1 percent for capital goods, after a 7.1 percent drop in the previous month. On a monthly basis, industrial output shrank 1.3 percent, following a 2.5 percent rise in September.

Croatia Industrial Output Rebounds in September
Industrial output in Croatia rose 2 percent over a year earlier in September 2019, after a 1.7 percent fall in the previous month. Production of intermediate goods rebounded (0.4 percent from -5.1 percent in August) and output advanced further in consumer durable goods (19.1 percent from 9.5 percent) and non-durable goods (4.4 percent from 3 percent). Additionally, production of capital goods dropped 7.1 percent, less than a 12.9 percent fall in August. On a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial output went up 2.5 percent, following a 3 percent decline in the prior month.

Croatia Industrial Output Falls 1.7% YoY in August
Industrial output in Croatia fell 1.7 percent year-on-year in August 2019, after a downwardly revised 2.9 percent rise in the previous month. Production of intermediate goods declined (-5.1 percent from 7 percent in July) and output growth slowed for consumer non-durable goods (2.9 percent from 6.6 percent) and energy (3.5 percent from 3.6 percent). On the other hand, consumer durable goods output went up further (9.6 percent from 3.4 percent) and production of capital goods dropped at a softer pace (-13 percent from -15.6 percent). On a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial production went down 3 percent, following a downwardly revised 2.9 percent gain in the prior month.

Croatia Industrial Output Rebounds in July
Industrial production in Croatia increased 3.0 percent year-on-year in July of 2019, recovering from a 5.6 percent fall in the previous month. Output rebounded for intermediate goods (7.1 percent from -3.7 percent in June); energy (3.6 percent from -1.8 percent) and for consumer non-durable goods (6.6 percent vs -3.8 percent). In addition, capital goods production dropped less (-15.6 percent vs -19.1 percent). Meanwhile, consumer durable goods output increased at a softer pace (3.4 percent vs 7.8 percent). On a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial production went up 4.8 percent, rebounding from a 2.2 percent drop in June.

Croatia Industrial Output Falls for First Time in 6 Months
Industrial production in Croatia shrank 5.6 percent year-on-year in June 2019, following a 0.2 percent rise in the previous month. It was the first contraction in industrial activity since December 2018, as output dropped for energy (-1.8 percent vs 1.2 percent in May); intermediate goods (-3.7 percent vs 0.3 percent); non-durable consumer goods (-3.8 percent vs 0.7 percent) and capital goods (-19.1 percent vs -4.8 percent). On the other hand, durable consumer goods production advanced faster (7.8 percent vs 5.6 percent). On a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial production fell 2.2 percent, following a 1.7 percent drop in the previous month.

Croatia Industrial Output Grows at 5-Month Low
Croatia's industrial production increased by 0.2 percent year-on-year in May 2019, following a 3.0 percent gain in the previous month. It was the smallest gain since January, as output slowed for intermediate (0.3 percent vs 4.7 percent in April) and non-durable consumer goods (0.7 percent vs 6.9 percent) while capital goods production fell (-4.8 percent vs 0.5 percent). On the other hand, energy output rebounded (1.2 percent vs -4.2 percent) while durable consumer goods production advanced faster (5.6 percent vs 1.7 percent). On a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial production fell 1.7 percent, following a 0.2 percent drop in April.
